Been going for years!
I have always enjoyed La Perla. From going with my own family, through to using its upstairs room as a wedding reception! I remember once, they had this spcieal....Scallop and Lobster Ravioli with Smoked Mackerel and Squid Ink Ravioli..... Oh, my unknowable deity!!! 20 A*!

La Perla ristorante is an authentic Italian restaurants on Newland Avenue Hull with genuine Italian chefs cooking the original homemade recipes of Italian cuisine. We serve all the classic Italian dishes you'd expect, plus a carefully considered selection of vegetarian dishes. For Italian wines and beer lovers, and we specialise in the wines of Northern Italy. The atmosphere is that of a true pizzeria hull .
The restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside, so there's plenty of room for you to relax without people squeezing past. On an evening, when the restaurant is busy, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the heart of Italy where it has such a good atmosphere. La Perla caters for large, small, and individual bookings. It is also recognised as one of the top takeaways in hull.

Wonderful food, serice and ambience
Haven't been to La Perla for about a year or so and have just realised what I had been missing, the Sea Bass was to die for, looking forward to going back for some more of that amazing garlic bread! Would highly recommend.

Good food, shame about the service
I went to la perla for my birthday earlier this year. I had never been before but had received some great reviews from friends/family, So I booked a table for 6. We were seated promptly on arrival however after waiting around 20 mins we had to ask if we could have some drinks as no one had been to take our order. The drinks did arrive quickly but we were then left for a further 15 mins before we asked again if we could make our food order. By the time the main meals came we were left again asking for drinks.
The service aside (I have heard that service at la perla is usually great) my meal was fantastic, I had a garlic bread followed by the spinach and ricotta cannelloni. My family where equally impressed. The prices were also very reasonable. The table linen and the cutlery were clean, and the staff friendly.
I would go again, as everywhere deserves a second chance. -
Superb
Weve been to La Perla a number of times and everytime it is superb. Ill go as far as saying its the possibly the best Italian in Hull

My favourite Italian!
La Perla's been my favourite Italian in Hull for years. Really friendly atmosphere and service, great food (sublime garlic bread) and good for the whole family. Can't recommend it highly enough.
